Mentees will receive regular (normally monthly) reminders to submit a progress report. It is important that you do submit reports so that the organisation running your programme has visibility on your progress. Read Why should I report?
Hit Report Now
To submit a report, go to your Progress Page (under Progress on your navigation), and hit Report now
Check all your Tasks are updated
If you have not updated your Goals and Tasks, you will first see a reminder. It is important that you mark all your Tasks as either In Progress, Complete or Parked, or delete any Tasks or Goals no longer required ahead of your report. To mark Tasks, click either the yellow (In Progress), green (Complete) or red (Parked) button against each Task in each Goal. Parked means that you don't want to delete it, but for some reason of other you can't progress it right now.
It is often a good time for you to generally update your Goals and Tasks at this time to ensure any new Goals you are working on are also flagged on your progress page. Note that you cannot delete Goals or Tasks which are required by your programme (which have a lock icon next to them)
Add some Reflections against your Goals
Once your Tasks are up to date, you will then be asked to add a "Reflection' against each Goal. This is effectively asking you to let the programme and your Supporters know how confident you are feeling that you will achieve the Goals and Tasks by the dates required (to remind you, the Goal delivery target date is always flagged at the top right hand corner of your progress page screen).
At this point please choose one of the four options (Power Forward, Pause & Plan, ReGroup, or Unsure) against each Goal and click Submit. Reflections are there to help you stand back from the day to day, and check in with yourself how likely it is you will achieve the priority Goals you or the programme have set yourself, and to review what help or support you may need.
It helps the programme to collect realistic reflections if at all possible. For example, if you choose Regroup against most of your Goals, this helps the programme know you may need additional support for a while, or may just need to push the Goals back past the original target date. Your reflections are not shared with anyone else beyond your Supporter Team and the programme.
Report on your Business KPIs or similar (not for all networks)
Next you may be asked to report some Business KPIs or similar data set (we load different reporting pages per client), but you may not have this report function switched on for your network. Business KPIs simply asks you to log some standard business growth metrics. These are only shared with the Programme.
Book meetings with your Supporters
You will then see the below page. This final page lets you know your report has been submitted, and that the network will now let your Supporters know about your update so they can start planning for your next session together.
This is the perfect time for you to book a meeting with at least one Supporter, and ideally all of them if possible, so we list all your Supporters in a handy list to facilitate this. Supporters who have provided a Calendly link will have a Calendly icon next to their name - those that haven't will require you to message them to set something up.
If for any reason you don't want to meet with a Supporter in the following weeks, it might be polite to let them know as they will have received a report update anyway. If you actually would rather they are no longer on your Supporter Team, please message Admin and let them know why.
That's it! Please then return to your Progress Page, where you will now be able to see your reflections added to your Progress Page.
Tip: You might also at this point want to update your Profile page, to get any new suggestions for additional Supporters (not necessarily to add to your Supporter Team, but to get ad-hoc advice from).
