When Supporters (mentors, coaches, on demand advisors, managers etc) or Mentees onboard onto a network, they provide some data points such as their needs are or what they know. Kandu’s algorithm makes suggested matches based on how many of these data points match to other individuals.A higher graded match - eg 80% - should be a better match for you than a lower grade eg 50%.
These grades are just meant to steer users towards potential matches. They do not suggest that a match is perfect, rather that there may be a relationship worth exploring based on skills and expertise required or offered.
When you get a match, click on one of your suggested match profiles, and see on what basis you have been matched (which words are highlighted in green on their profile). Please read more about them, and then message them if you think you’d like to meet with them for a coffee or a call.
Matches are just suggestions of people who you might have a productive mentoring relationship with, based on at least to start skills and knowledge exchange. We can't predict chemistry but we can at least try and spark new meetings and conversations.
To others to feel confident about messaging you too - please make sure your profile is fully complete with all relevant information. Remember to stay safe and read this advice before connecting or meeting with anyone https://www.getsafeonline.org/social-networking.
